United Nations Special Envoy to East Timor

Jamsheed Marker has been one of Pakistan's top diplomats for more than thirty years, serving as ambassador to the United States, the United Nations, and more than a dozen other countries. Before being appointed Special Envoy to East Timor, he was special advisor to United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan. Marker is the author of three books, and has lectured at several universities.
