Director, Genocide Watch

Gregory Stanton is the founder and director of Genocide Watch, a nongovernmental organization that exists to predict, prevent, stop, and punish genocide and other forms of mass murder. From 1992 to 1999 he served in the United States Department of State, where he drafted the United Nations Security Council resolution that created the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda. Stanton is Research Professor in Genocide Studies and Prevention at George Mason University.
